Each year there are children with special needs waiting for the opportunity to improve their health and quality of life at Carousel Ranch.
We're growing to serve more children and
YOU can help us reach this goal.

Together, we can make a difference...
one very special child at a time.

Raise the Roof for Our Kids
OUR COVERED ARENA IS BUILT!!!!

Thank you to our amazing friends and supporters, our incredible board members and a HUGE thank you to John Knight (KNIGHT Building Systems)...none of this would be possible without you.

Earlier this year, we were able to begin construction on our covered arena! It was truly surreal, watching it go up, post by post...seeing this long-time dream coming true.

For everyone familiar with the varying seasonal climates of the Santa Clarita Valley, you know that heat can be excessive and precipitation threatening. Lessons are routinely cancelled when temperatures rise above 100 degrees or when rain begins to drizzle.

"The weather affects Caleb's ability to ride as his body is unable to regulate temperature. The extreme high temperatures cause him to have prolonged seizures and the >cold temperatures affect his respiratory system and he then requires oxygen. Riding at the ranch is the only community activity that Caleb is involved in that he truly enjoys and having a covered arena will significantly impact his ability to ride more often."
-Salisa Wagner

Many of the children served are in frail health and not able to participate in therapy under certain weather conditions. In 2012, over 450 sessions were canceled due to heat or rain. A covered arena would make it possible for the ranch to serve children year-round despite inclement weather.
