COVID-19 UPDATES

Dear Carousel Ranch Family, Friends, & Supporters

As the world faces the challenge of containing COVID-19, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily suspend our programs & services until further notice. We are taking action to protect the health and safety of our clients and staff and join the effort to flatten the curve of coronavirus cases.

A limited number of Carousel Ranch staff will be on site to care for our horses, but there will be no client services or volunteers on site. Our administrative staff will be available remotely. Please email us at info@carouselranch.org if you have any questions or concerns. Stay in touch with us virtually through our social media pages!

Keep our Carousel Ranch community in your prayers as we move forward during this difficult time, and we will do the same for you and your loved ones. If you would like to help our students and horses, a gift of any amount will allow Carousel Ranch to continue to be a place of horses, healing and hope --- now and for the years to come. Until then, stay safe and healthy!

Dear Carousel Ranch families, friends and volunteers,

We are excited to announce that we are working hard to welcome students back to the Ranch beginning next week. Though we wish that we could just open up for everyone at once, the reality is that it will take time to adjust to the “new normal” and to ensure that this slow and cautious re-opening ensures the safety of our students and staff.

We have had many questions over the past month surrounding re-opening – from families, supporters and volunteers. As much as we wish the answers were simple, they are not. And as much...

"We cannot thank everyone at Carousel Ranch enough! Even though the ranch is shut down and Aaron is struggling with not being able to ride, thankfully he is also part of the Ready To Work program! At the beginning of this pandemic situation I think all parents probably threw their hands up like “what now?” “How do I homeschool my kids, work from home, and not completely lose it???” I was definitely that mom! Aaron has two younger brothers and not only do they have school, but Aaron also goes to school. All of that changed rather swiftly just like it did for everyone else.

At first...

Dear Friends,

Things are a little different around the ranch these days. The days are quiet and we are still being cared for, but now the humans are wearing weird contraptions on their faces - they even tried to put it on a few of us! We think the humans miss our riders, we miss our friends too. We can't wait to go back to work and see their smiling faces.

For now, though, know we are thinking about you and hoping you are well. You matter to everyone at Carousel Ranch. You have made a choice to be here for us and our work, and we - the humans too - are here for you during...

Last month, before life changed for us all, Carousel Ranch received an amazing gift. A beautiful children’s book written by one of our former staff members (Nathan Gunter) which is dedicated to us. Back in 2003, Nathan was a young Master’s College student who worked for us through the school’s work-study program. He worked for us throughout his college years, bringing his now wife Abby to the ranch as well. Nathan became an amazing instructor at the ranch, and he Abby were a huge part of the program during those years. We are happy to count them among a few “Carousel Ranch marriages”...

These are indeed confusing, anxiety-filled, and uncertain times for all of us. Our young people need our support through this. These words shared by Kim (one of our moms), say far more than we could hope to in expressing the difference that your support makes here at Carousel Ranch...

"When I got the call that there was a spot open for Shane I was so excited as I had recently made the decision to stop traditional therapy. I learned that Carousel Ranch has some amazing donors allowing them to offer scholarships so that no special needs child is left behind due to financial...

The COVID-19 pandemic has our attention -- as I am sure it has yours.

Roy Rogers and Dale Evans sang it best, “Some trails are happy ones, others are blue. It's the way you ride the trail that counts.”

As we pivot to meet the needs of our community during this rapidly evolving time, Carousel Ranch is grateful for generous supporters like you for being our partner in good times and these difficult times. Because of your support – past, present, and future - we hope to weather this storm and bridge the funding gap we are sure to face.

Because our...
